The automated caller said I had 4 allegations against me and I had 24 hours to call them back or the local "cops" would pick me up. This is the second call today but from different numbers. The first call was from (347) 637-6194 stating pretty much the same thing. I called that one back just to let them know I was already aware of the "IRS scam" they were pulling. A man with a heavy Indian accent answered and introduced himself as Officer Kevin Jones. When I told him I had already been in contact with the REAL IRS to confirm that I had no violations, he became irate and asked why I was calling him then and not to call back. Hard to believe people actually fall for this scam, it's so not believable!!

We have gotten this type of call in the past. I tell everyone who now calls asking for money over the phone we just don't do it. We are also on a DNL, but since they might set themselves up as nonprofit org they seem exempt from the rule. Anyway, this kind of stuff is reaching a point that is near harassment, and as consumers paying for phones, lines etc this shit needs to stop. Our legal system seems to only take care of the businesses but at some point we will need to turn the tides and take our real rights back. This constant annoyance needs to be brought under control. Meanwhile I will never and I mean never donate nor give personal information over the phone!

Their auto caller has a press 1 to speak with a loan modification specialist or 2 to get removed from the list. If you press 2 you get "option is not valid" and 1 is the only one that is valid. You end up waiting for 10 minutes before you are connected with someone. I found out it is a mortgage refinance company. I told them I do not have a home and live in an apartment. He said, "Why didn't you just press 2" I informed him about the error and he said "oh" I informed him I do not own a house and he said he would remove me for the list. I said that this is a cell phone and he got snippy and hung up on me.

Received a call from this number to my mobile phone but did not answer. Caller did not leave a message.
